So, I watched a movie last night . . . Feast.  It’s a horror movie that has some really well known executive producers, maybe you’ve heard of them: Wes Craven, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, along with some pretty well-known actors: Henry Rollins, Jason Mewes.  That being said, I thought it was pretty safe that it would be a pretty solid movie . . . especially in comparison to some of the horror movies I’ve seen lately (Dracula 3000, one word: Coolio).

The jury is still out on this obscure film.  It’s probably one of the strangest good horror movies I’ve ever seen.  By good, I mean film quality, storyline, and acting (again, by comparison to recent horror films I’ve watched).

They give a brief intro/bio to every character in the movie, the (first) hero of the movie dies within 2 minutes of his introduction, and monsters have sex with each other (not to mention getting their genitalia chopped off).  But with all of the oddities of this movie, there is a kind of a fun, yet still intense atmosphere.

I’m gonna let this film soak in a bit more before I really judge it, but I think I’m leaning towards a positive review.
